CCSE Task 4 test: culture and history of Spain
Task 4 has 42 questions in the bank and 5 in the real exam. It's the most varied block: from the Middle Ages to today, from Don Quixote to flamenco, from Velázquez to Rafael Nadal.
What this task covers
History: Roman Spain, Al-Andalus, the Catholic Monarchs, the conquest of America, the 1812 Constitution, the Civil War, the Franco dictatorship, the Transition. Culture: Cervantes, Quevedo, Lorca, Goya, Velázquez, Picasso, Almodóvar, Penélope Cruz. Music: zarzuela, flamenco, Manuel de Falla, Plácido Domingo. Sport: football (2010 World Cup), tennis (Nadal, Alcaraz), basketball. Heritage: Alhambra, Sagrada Familia, Camino de Santiago.

How to prepare it
It's the block where explanations help the most because each question has narrative context that aids recall. Don't memorise isolated dates: group by era (Modern Age, 20th century, etc.). Culture questions often have clues within the question itself. If you don't know an answer, eliminate the obvious wrong options.
